Values Statement

The following values are imbedded into the activities and
attitudes of the Board and Staff of Community Futures
Development Corporation of North Fraser:

· A commitment to be responsive and responsible to the
people and communities of the region in the planning and
delivery of community economic development activities, on the basis of individual merit and through the creation of innovative partnerships.

· A commitment that our services are accessible to individuals and groups within our region, and that those services will be delivered with integrity and honesty, at all times.

· A concern for the overall well-being of each community and a commitment to respect the needs of individuals and groups of all cultural origins, gender, disabilities, religions, and socio-economic status.

· A commitment to enable groups and individuals, wherever possible, through nurturing, encouragement, assistance, and training.

· A belief that all projects undertaken must be compatible with overall Community interests and that they must not have a negative impact on the environment.

· A commitment to volunteers, board members and staff that they be supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential in community service and development.

· The recognition of the ongoing need to search out tools and methods which are flexible and responsive to the changing requirements of our communities, and for constant facilitation of new and innovative partnerships.
